Terrorists are Murders
With the recent attacks in Britain, one can only imagine the severe backlash Muslims would face throughout the world, especially in the UK and USA. Even though we hear time and time again, that Islam is not a terrorist’s religion, rather it is a religion of peace, we still see chaos and corruption in the world today pertaining to the misunderstanding of Islam. It is now getting even more complicated with the battle on both sides where some people accuse Islam of being a terrorist religion while on the other hand, there are some people who are publicly justifying suicidal-bombing due to the war in Iraq, Afghanistan and the situation in Palestine.
This battle and misunderstanding is only creating more and more havoc in the world, with Islam being tarnished and innocent people being killed. There are still a great number of Muslims who try to justify terrorism by calling it freedom fighting, which ultimately gives the world the impression that all Muslims condone and harbor terrorism. Muslims should leave Allah to be the judge. Fighting fire with fire is the work of Satan, which is contrary to the teachings of the Qur’aan and practices of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him).
It is important to know that terrorists who kill innocent people , are not justified in doing so in the name of Islam. Killing innocent people is murder, and murder is not permissible in Islam. The following are a few references to prove that taking the life of innocent people is not permissible in Islam.
Sahih Al-Bukhari - by Anas bin Malik
The Prophet said, “The biggest of Al-Kaba’ir (the great sins) are (1) to join others as partners in worship with Allah, (2) to murder a human being, (3) to be undutiful to one’s parents (4) and to make a false statement,” or said, “to give a false witness.”
Sahih Al-Bukhari - Narrated by from Ibn Abbas
Allah’s Apostle said, “ he is not a believer when he commits a murder.”
Sahih Muslim - by AbuHurayrah
Allah’s Apostle (peace be upon him) said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, a time would come when the murderer would not know why he has committed the murder, and the victim would not know why he has been killed.
Sahih Al-Bukhari - by Al Ahnaf bin Qais
Allah’s Apostle said, ‘When two Muslims fight (meet) each other with their swords, both the murderer as well as the murdered will go to the Hell-fire.’ I said, ‘O Allah’s Apostle! It is all right for the murderer but what about the murdered one?’ Allah’s Apostle replied, “He surely had the intention to kill his companion.”
